The ACO was founded in 1975 and now has 10,000 subscribers across Australia. When travelling abroad, the Orchestra is a great ambassador for Australia, drawing international attention to Australian culture and receiving praise from some of the world’s toughest critics.
Guido Belgiorno-Nettis became a director of the ACO in 1996 and was appointed as Chairman in 2000.
